If your needing to know what areas of your room are the most intense this is the tool. It seems to be accurate when using compared to what the bulb says. It’s easy to used and helpful in adjusting your height and movements of your plants. I move or rotate and turn my plants on a regular basis. It helps fill them out and spreads the love with the most intense lighting. I’d very helpful in getting the max from your system and lighting.

I needed a way to know if the sun was really bright outside for solar panel testing or just seeming bright. I was able to confirm with this when the light was over 100k lux meaning it was in the realm of the brightness solar panels are tested at. If I angle it a bit I can also determine a better angle for the panels if I don’t want to get a can of soup out to test the shadows. This is great because solar radiance meters cost several times more money and I didn’t want to pay for those. Lux is a little different that solar radiation but they correlate well.

I got this light meter so I could better quantitatively review for Amazon Vine lighting products and assess their relative output. It seems to perform well and can show units of lux or foot candles, and has a min/max and hold function.
I chose this meter because of the corded light sensor, so I can photograph the meter reading with the sensor positioned in the bright beam.
